Recital is the special rite of passage for all dance students. It offers each student a
professionally directed performance allowing them to present to family and friends
the results of a year’s hard work, dedication, and progress. The dress rehearsal process helps develop retention skills. It teaches the positive aspects of working as a team to achieve the best end result. The performance experience helps build self-esteem and self-confidence. These attributes can be beneficial to non-dance activities such as in-school presentations and can improve social skills as well. The TPDC annual recital is held in a professional theater. Costumes and choreography enhance the overall experience and make for an exciting and memorable event.Dedication to recital commitments is the responsibility of both the students and their parents.
